WEEK 10- CALLING MY GIRLS

Week 9 was tough; spending it, as you did, purging your life of your ex. Pictures were burned, sentimental items were either donated or tossed in the trash, and plenty of tears were shed. You’re probably feeling emotionally, and physically, drained from it all. It’s never easy to cleanse yourself of your past, so I applaud you for doing it! You’re on the right path to go, ‘From Broken, To FABULOUS.’

Now, because last week was so hard, Week 10 is all about you preparing for that Girls Night Out; the one that’s thereal first outing you’ve had since starting this journey. The kind of night you get home, lie in bed, and say to yourself, “Now that was a top night. TOP NIGHT!” But to do this, it’s going to take a process, and it should be handled right. Let’s be honest, you haven’t had a slammed up night out with the girls, since being single, and it’s going to feel strange not to have to call your ex and tell him/her, how your night is going; or sending them cute Snapchat’s and shit.

It’s going to be quite an adjustment, but I’ve got you covered. So let’s get started.

DRESSED IN LOVE

As you have probably already learned from my guide, Fashion is a HUGE part of your recovery. Why? Because I feel we all get a confidence boost when we’re in clothing that makes us feel so freaking Fabulous! Fashion became pivotal in my heartbreak recovery; with every piece of lace, chiffon, and tulle, I found bits of myself coming back together. The more fabulous I looked, the more Fabulous I began to feel. I found a confidence in me I didn’t know was possible. This is exactly what I want for you.

So, go through your closet and find the following:

1.A Little Black Dress

We all have one, and if you don’t, you need to head over to the mall and find one. For real! Every girl needs a little black dress. Now, by little, I don’t mean short enough to have others count the pubic hairs that didn’t come off during your wax, I mean a dress that is sexy, fitted, but leaves enough to the imagination. Below are a few examples.

2. Heel UP

That’s right, no more flats and gym shoes. I want you to put on a great pair of heels that are stylish, sexy, but most importantly comfortable! AND NO… THAT DOES NOT MEAN WEDGES LADIES.

Wake Up & MakeUp
This is your Girls Night Out, so although a natural face is always beautiful, this isn’t the night for that. I want you to get your makeup on Fleek. Put on the bold red lips, the long thick lashes, and highlight those cheeks- if for no other reason, but to repel Fuckboys.

OH YES IT’S LADIES NIGHT

So what should your first ladies night out be? Well, it certainly should NOT be a club, bar, or any type of night scene that’s crowded, surrounded by drunks, or too loud for you to be able to even hear your own thoughts. As a matter of fact, alcohol is not allowed on this dinner outing, AT ALL! You need to look and feel your best, minus additions that you feel will help you get there.

So what should you do for your Girl’s Night Out? I would do one of the two:

Dinner
Lounge
Dinner at a nice restaurant, that won’t break the bank, is always a great choice; especially, if it’s a place that has live music. Those are always laid back, classy, and allow you to chill with those closest to you, catch up, laugh, and of course do that sexy walk over to the bathroom, where you’ll catch the eye of plenty of people watching your sexy ass slay. Now, this in’t because I’m trying to get you into a relationship, because as I said when you started this journey, you are on a 91 Day probation. But, it doesn’t mean you can’t start feeling yourself, and putting out those vibrations to others. This is about building your self confidence. Building your self love, minus any distractions of a relationship.

Also, a lounge is a great idea because they have music playing at a tone you can actually hear each other talk, never mind dance worthy, and the ambiance is fun, laid back, never mind great for those mysteries selfies. Which leads me to…

CLICK FLASH

This Girls Night Out, is going to have you screaming, “But first, let me take a selfie,” all night long. Why? Because you’ve gone 9 weeks without posting anything remotely close to your enjoying a night out, and it’s time for that to change. Your ex should no longer think you’re sitting home wallowing your life away, or in solitary confinement. No more! You’re out and about, enjoying life and for once- being single around the people who make you feel alive again.

I want a selfie taken, and posted, on all your social media platforms i.e. Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc of:

You preparing for your girls night out,
You fully glammed up and ready to slay the night,
A Single Pic Of you either a) Sitting at the dinner table OR b) Sitting at the lounge,
A group pic with you and your girl(s),
Take a video looking down at your heels walking to dinner or to the lounge. I just love these types of videos. It’s adventurous, sexy, but a self reminder, “I was able to walk in these and slay! YES!”
Lastly, I want your ‘Raw Selfie,’ that’s no longer so sad, to be taken at the end of this night. When you get home, head to your room, or the bathroom, and start snapping away. Take that selfie that best descries how you’re feeling about that night out, and add it into your ‘Raw Selfie Folder.’ If you’ve been following this guide since Week 1, you should already know these pics have been taken every week. After this one, you should have 9 in total.
When you’re done taking your Raw Selfie, I want you to download a picture collage app, preferable Moldiv- it’s my favorite- and put your first raw selfie next to the one you took that night.

Pretty crazy huh? Do you see the life starting to come back into your eyes?! I know I did. It’s small healing moves, but it’s healing and that feeling is euphoric!
